What are real hot springs like?
According to national standards, hot springs should have a temperature higher than 34℃ and contain chemical constituents beneficial to human bodies, such as fluorine, lithium and radon. Their PH (potential for hydrogen) value and mineralization are also important criteria.
Real hot springs smell a little like rotten eggs. Normally, if the temperature of the spring water would reach 50-60℃, a yellow layer of calcium fluoride can be seen building up at corners or edges of the pool.
